PRESS RELEASE
Crushpad to launch 50 new commercial wine companies in 2007
Crushpad Commerce lets wine enthusiasts "go pro" wherever they live
San Francisco, CA -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- March 20, 2007 -- Crushpad, the urban winery that is democratizing winemaking, today announced Crushpad Commerce – the industry's first "brand incubator" that helps turn people's passion for wine into a business. As part of the service, Crushpad is hosting a Wine Branding and Sales Workshop for over 50 clients in the process of launching their wine brands. The event is taking place on April 21, 2007 at Crushpad's new 30,000 square foot winery in San Francisco.
Designed for busy professionals who want to pursue the new American dream of owning their own winery, Crushpad Commerce provides a completely integrated set of services covering winemaking, logistics, regulatory and sales/marketing support. For the first time in history, the barriers to entering the wine industry have been torn down as Crushpad Commerce supports production levels as small as 50 cases but scales to many thousands.
At the workshop, Crushpad will equip its clients with the knowledge and tools necessary to successfully launch their new wines being produced at Crushpad's winery. Crushpad has scheduled notable industry experts to share their knowledge on how to successfully launch a new wine brand. Presenting will be Paul Wagner, founder of Balzac Communications and the author of "Wine Marketing & Sales, Strategies for a Saturated Market;" and Sean Carlton, owner of Basket Case Wines and past national brand manager for luxury brand Archery Summit Wines.
"We are thrilled to be providing a new path for so many people to pursue their dream of owning a winery", said Dan Lintz, VP of Commerce at Crushpad. "It's amazing to be a part of launching over 50 new wine brands this year. Crushpad is charged with excitement on a constant basis as new wines come off the bottling line into the hands of people pursuing their passion."
