PRESS RELEASE

Crushpad to Host "How to Start Your Own Wine Business" Workshop

World's Largest Wine Brand Incubator Shares Experiences with Over 130 Brands

San Francisco, CA -- September 2, 2008 -- Crushpad, the urban winery that is democratizing winemaking, today announced that it will host a Wine Sales & Marketing Workshop on September 20th at The Lodge at Sonoma resort. Designed expressly for wine enthusiasts interested in starting their own winery, the event will feature the experiences of many Crushpad Commerce customers, as well as best practices from industry leaders including:

  • Steve Myers, Vice President of Marketing for Duckhorn Wine Company
  • Tom Wark, Founder of Wark Communications and "Fermentation: The Daily Wine Blog"
  • Dixie Huey, Founder and Proprietor of Trellis Wine Consulting

Introduced in 2006 to enable busy professionals to turn their passion for wine into a business, Crushpad Commerce provides a completely integrated set of services that remove traditional barriers to entry and make the dream of owning a winery within reach at production levels as small as 50 cases or as many as 5,000 cases.

With 130 separate wine brands that have launched or are in development, Crushpad Commerce has solidified its position as the largest and fastest growing wine brand incubator. Its customers have consistently earned praise from esteemed awards competitions and national media — regularly receiving scores in the 90s from leading wine industry publications such as "The Wine Advocate" and "Wine Spectator" — and can be found in many of the country's top restaurants and retailers.

"It's incredibly gratifying for us to help people realize the dream of launching their own wine business," said Dan Lintz, VP of Crushpad Commerce. "Our workshop will show just how attainable it is for people with a passion for wine, coupled with sales and marketing know-how, to create a successful wine brand."

Cost for the Saturday, September 20th workshop is $250. Tickets may be purchased at www.crushpadwine.com/workshop
