Jon Thorsen is the founder of the popular blog The Reverse Wine Snob: Thumbing My Nose At Bottles Over $20!. The idea behind the blog is to find out if it is possible to drink great wine without breaking the bank, and without developing a pretentious aura. After reading about all the health benefits of wine, he and his wife decided they should drink wine more often, but quickly discovered how expensive this can be. This set them on a search for great, inexpensive wine that they could drink most days with dinner without totally blowing apart their budget. Mr. Thorsen also created a unique wine rating system that scores wines based on their taste and cost – the more a wine costs, the higher the taste rating needed to get a Buy rating – which helps consumers maximize their wine budgets!
