About Richard Leahy

Richard Leahy has been writing about wine for consumers and producers since 1986. He was a regional editor for Kevin Zraly’s American Wine Guide, and was Mid-Atlantic and Southern Editor for the Oxford Companion to the Wines of North America. He was East Coast Editor of Vineyard & Winery Management for ten years and coordinates the seminar program for the Eastern Winery Exposition. He is a member of the Society of Wine Educators, the Circle of Wine Writers and the board of Drink Local Wine.com. Mr. Leahy is author of Beyond Jefferson’s Vines, on the evolution of quality wine in Virginia, to be published by Sterling Epicure Press in spring 2012.
