What style of events can Crushpad accommodate?
All sorts! We have hosted everything from private blending sessions with winemakers to large scale fundraisers including auctions. We work with you to customize the event to your preferences -- add a tour of the facility, incorporate hands-on winemaking activities -- you name it.
What types of hands-on winemaking activities do you offer?
Crushpad offers lots of fun, educational hands-on winemaking activities including:
- Blending Sessions
Blending is the highest art form in winemaking, where good wine is transformed into great wine. It's also a lot of fun. But at most wineries, it's off limits to the public. Our winemaking staff and educators will let your group in on the fun, guiding them through the same wine blending process used in wineries worldwide. Our 2 ½ hour sessions are perfect for individuals to collaborate in small teams to learn the secrets of wine blending first-hand.
- Harvest Crush Camp
To truly experience wine production, harvest is when the magic takes place. During September and October, the winery kicks into an adrenaline-fueled, high gear as hundreds of tons of fermenting grapes fill the winery with heavenly aromas. This experience is not to be missed and Crushpad offers immersive winemaking experiences for groups that run approximately 2½ hours. Our Crush Camps provide a perfect vehicle for building community and learning how high-end, small lot wines are created. The camps don't take place in an isolated classroom setting. Instead, your group works alongside real cellar-hands and winemakers on wines in production. Grape stains abound in this exclusive experience!
- Wine Blending Wednesdays

Where is Crushpad located?
We are located in the middle of the flourishing Dogpatch Historical District of San Francisco. We are surrounded by both large industrial warehouses and Victorians that date back to the 1900s. Found on 3rd Street, just 2 miles South of AT&T Ball Park and between 22nd and 23rd Streets, we are easily accessed via car, Muni, and Caltrain.
Are there different sized/styled rooms?
Crushpad has 2 distinct rooms to host events. Depending on the nature of your event, Crushpad can host events for groups as small as 10 and a large as 1000. Our wine blending, teacher-facilitated sessions and networking events for up to 100 people are held in our 3,000 square foot Fermentation Room. Here, barrels line the walls and parlor lighting hangs across the ceiling to create a unique and intimate atmosphere for your event. Our Main Winery can accommodate larger groups who can sip world-class wines amongst our bottling machine, wine presses, sorting tables and other key winemaking equipment.
Does Crushpad have kitchen facilities to accommodate my caterer?
Yes. We have a 225 square foot kitchen that includes an oven and microwave oven, 2 sinks, 2 refrigerators and an industrial dishwasher along with prepping tables and ample counter space.
Can Crushpad recommend a caterer?
While you are welcome to hire your own licensed catering group, we also have a list of preferred caterers that we regularly work with that provide elegant and delicious fare.
Can Crushpad provide wine-educated staff for my event?
Yes. Another unique aspect of hosting an event at Crushpad is that our award-winning team of winemakers and educators facilitate each session and enjoy providing hands-on opportunities for groups to increase their wine knowledge
