Review:A nice expression of coastal Pinot Noir, with crisp acidity framing dry flavors of cherries, pomegranates, cola, mocha and oak-inspired vanilla spice. The silky texture is especially inviting. Drink this elegant wine before 2011. - S.H. (6/1/2009) - 90

Review:Full throttle style with lots of fruit and vanilla character. I prefer something a little more balanced but attractive all the same. Lacks a tiny bit of a mid-palate.

Affaire de Coeur
2005 Pinot Noir
Amber Ridge Vineyard Russian River Valley
Score: 93

Review:It's nice that they've held back this wine for a few years before releasing it, because it's beginning to meld together in a very delightful way. The tannins, oak and alcohol are coalescing with the cherries, pomegranates, cola, tangerine, vanilla and spices, giving the wine a silky, complex, mellow mouthfeel. Beautifully dry and lush now, and should develop through 2012. - S.H. (8/1/2009) - 93

Review:Mixes savory herb, loamy earth, cola and dried currant and berry flavors in a tight, focused style. Full-bodied and intense without being heavy, ending with gripping, spice-laced tannins. Drink now through 2014
